Chronicles of Jedihood: Background

Given the five years which have quickly passed since Jedihood started, we have arrived at a critical point for this journal.

Newcomers discovering Jedihood do not know of its history–how it was created and what situations led to its current existence. We will begin to answer these types of questions. To start off, we will go over a progressive series of events which led to its inception. Although the Jedihood message was first given on March 29th 2016, explanation is needed to show what happened prior to this critical event.

With that said, we will not go too far back in time as the journal has already provided some foundational backstories.

The best place to begin is on August 8th, 2015. On this particular date, this person finally gave in and denied the self to not only help an old friend, yet to set the course back on track. Yet, to really understand this point in time, we need to oversee prior contacts which brought this particular moment to its climax.

Aharon (also known as Streen) had sporadically, yet effectively communicated by E-mail since this individual left the Jedi Community during July 2006. Although brief, they were faithful in the pursuit–if he would not have done this, the series of events would have worked out much differently.

This understanding will be revealed by going through the earlier E-mail contacts (will highlight a main quote he gave in each):

August 7th, 2006: “I was glad to find out that you haven't disappeared completely”
September 2nd, 2006: “JEDI is... well... gone.”
March 6th, 2007: “I know it's been forever since we last spoke.”
August 15th, 2007: “I've been doing a lot of writing lately.”
October 14th, 2008: “So how have you been? We haven't talked in ages.”
February 28th, 2009: “...We no longer participate in Jedi-related activities.”
July 14th, 2009: “ I'm sure you're over all this Jedi business, but I'm not.”

Seven separate contacts were made during these years which, with reading the quotations, reveals a slight transition between each point.

March 26th, 2011: “I'd love to get back in touch with you. I still think of you as a friend.”

This particular exchange gave a very slight hint of circumstances being rather different then previous years. During this contact, Aharon mentioned the following:

“It seems you and I are on the same path now, because I essentially left the Jedi community too. One day I offered my services as a guide on the Jedi path, and I was shot down for not following the rules. So I agree, it has become dogmatic.”

At this point in time, had received some E-mails about the situation and was rather discouraged as did not recognize what had become.  Did mention the path of self-discovery still continued when leaving... yet could not be a part of what had transpired.

March 27th, 2013: “I still remember the very day I first heard from you.”

This was a critical moment in which Aharon pleaded with me to come back. He was promoting a website called Jedi Spirit and informed this person it would have no connections with the outside community.

By this point, it was almost seven years since leaving and was very discouraged with the group.  The discouragement, in fact, had turned into a bitter sadness.

A statement was given in the exchange which would eventually manifest in later years:

“The only way things will change is when we aren't afraid to make life changes and face the lies we have made to ourselves. Things will be clear when we not only realize our failures, but walk the direction of obedience.”

Even though the quote was true, it wasn’t realized until two years later.

Back in 2013, remember was just completing a decade of music and being in the process of transitioning into a deeper maturity. Looking back, this could have been one of the first real signs of the calling. Yes, the 2011 contact provided a little hint of it, yet, by this year, it should have been more obvious. The Father could have very well wanted me to return around this time yet my bitterness could not yet see beyond it.

May 2nd, 2013: “As much as I respect your actions... I wish you and I could work together again.”

A small trail of responses resulted some months afterward, although still did not gather a real gist of the situation. With this said, Aharon did informed this person that “you made the right call for leaving the Jedi community and not going back.”   It was beginning to be clear by this point he was rather alone and needed someone to talk to.  A shift had taken place.

As far as this end, had nothing to prove and the spiritual journey being walked upon was strong.  The Father was really working on a personal level. No action was taken though, and, given such, Aharon decided to continue his pursuit in his writing and working on the Jedi Spirit website.  Do admit now to say this would have been a good time to start paying attention.

It was around November of 2013 when a real challenge came to me–my sisters began to split apart due to a family disagreement. This devastated my spirit. Though all the family members stopped talking to each other, knew it was my task to heal the breach. Didn’t know how it would be done... yet had to trust in the Father’s ways. It was this trust which led to weeks and weeks of visitations to consolidate all parties. Eventually, with a consistent drive and effort, the situation slowly was resolved.

Later on, when seeing all my sisters together with significant others, it brought an inner peace which was unlike anything prior.  It was around this time a great maturity started to flourish.

April 3rd, 2014: “Dead, like the spirit of the Jedi in general.”

It was this third prominent contact which finally got this person moving. Aharon contacted me (as well as some others) in which he bluntly laid out what issues were going on with particular community sites. Four primary sites were mentioned–and it was these which were brought into focus:

Temple of the Jedi Order: Restricted (Spirit of Despotism)
Force Academy: Bickering (Spirit of Quarreling)
Jedi Academy Online (Jedi Living): Controlling (Spirit of Manipulation)
Institute of Jedi Realist Studies: Dead (Spirit of Impotence)

These groups were still flourishing at the time, yet knew, given the fallen natures, each one would wane. In times of quiet, slowly realized each one desperately needed to be humbled. In order to do this though, an opposing spirit was needed to confront them.

Here is a summation:

Temple of the Jedi Order: Provision truth outside walls which could not be contained.
Force Academy: Echo a high-ground stance which debates would falter.
Jedi Academy Online (Jedi Living): Reveal the Father’s will over uber-humanism.
Institute of Jedi Realist Studies: Give a high-potent message to challenge the idleness.

In short, what was needed was a strong, consistent dose of cayenne pepper, a treatment to break up the mucus into separate factions, and, eventually, clear the congestion. This aid though could not be waged from within the groups yet from outside.

Some days prior to Aharon’s E-mail (March 27th, 2014), began to consider “going back and revamping the Jedi Creed website" given the community situation as well as Disney’s acquisition to Lucasfilm (which knew would cause problems of itself). This, along with the April 3rd contact, compelled this person to do at least something to help.

A couple of days later, written messages followed as the Jedi Creed website was in the process of being revamped. The Relan Volkum name was also dusted off and used for a brief moment in time. This all happened from April to July 2014.

While the new Jedi Creed was coming together very well (the visuals and coding went very well), began posted the new messages for community members to witness on Facebook. While posting, showed kindness and gentleness with former community members.

As time went on, carefully noticed the reaction to the messages. It was eventually made clear the messages would be rejected. The overall tone, while coming forward in a calming voice, was not the remedy–the fallen state had gone way too far. The current solution was too soft for a much needed surgery. My former ways, in essence, would not work.

This conclusion eventually led me to a deep sadness and quietness which followed for six months. It was the realization that it wasn’t time for a buddy–it was time for the adult. What needed to happen was to cut an umbilical cord feeding the problem.

On January 14th, 2015 the following statement was given:

“After a half year of reflection, my decision was made, for the first time, to deactivate the JEDI archive site (active 2001-2007) and its archived community sites (active from 1995-2007). The decision also includes to deactivate the current Jedi Creed website. This is not necessarily a permanent decision, but will be the decisive one as of now.

Also will attempt to find another means of communication other than Facebook, as mentioned in previous months. Will inform this page if/when discovered.”

Given this was the final nail, let it go entirely and made a complete separation.  That was the end of it.

That is until...

July 27th, 2015: “Maybe now I can explain a little better what’s been going on...”

Six months later, after letting go of the matter entirely, Aharon responded to me of an incident that occurred with him at the Force Academy. Still promoting his Jedi Spirit site, it was at this moment eventually started to pour out truths which were hidden prior.

As mentioned in prior messages at Jedihood, it was in 2015 when this person finally grasped what the Father wanted to do with this life. In order to discover this, had to fully let go of what this person had built for himself and become what he desired me to become. Due to letting go of the previous life, was able to manifest into the new life. The name shown would be the one he gave me through my parents, yet in Hebrew–which was Yahunatan.

In the E-mail contact, also shared him what his name was in Hebrew.

“Perhaps the Jedi life was just a stepping stone.” says Aharon. He goes on to read more about his name.

A short interval passes.

August 8th, 2015: “Jedi... Emanuele”

Still promoting his Jedi Spirit website, it was the accepting of his name which helped it to all click. It was time to let it out. “Maybe it's time we had a good talk."

So both finally opened after almost ten years. Truth was revealed to confront the pain... and the healing began.

The conversations went back and forth on a somewhat daily basis. What went on during the first eight months was an experience this person will never forget.

And so, while in communication, the message came.
