Striving

I came across and interesting statement in my studies. It was simply, in regard to living ones life, to stop seeking to add to yourself. Instead try to excavate what is already there. It reminded me of what Yeshua said about becoming like the little children. We start trying to become something- copy someone else, a system, a martial art- instead of stopping and learning to listen to His calling and direction. I have found it true, at least for me.

Thinking of a short litmus test for activities- If it is not helping strip away the worlds influence or deepening your knowledge of His ways it is probably not worth your time.

Anyone have any similar experiences or learning's?

Quiet sound.  Thanks for sharing this.   Still am learning this fundamental understanding.   We are born with the gifts and sometimes it takes years before we grasp the fact we simply need to cultivate what we have been given.   Society, especially the last 25 years, has this mindset of transitioning who they are into someone (or something) else.   Sadly we do not appreciate the life we have been given.   Yes, there are trials, yet it is those trials which should motivate us to go forward.

What is going on in this world is distressing, yet we knew this day would come eventually.   Both of us are not surprised because we were paying attention to the signs of the times.   Spiritual preparedness has helped us and is still helping us for the future.  People may steal from you, yet the spiritual principles learned cannot be taken away.   Just as with Joseph (Yahseph) in prison (read Genesis 39).  You will simply gain it back and more.   If only more people understood the blessings instead of complaining to others for their misgivings.   Once we start accepting the consequences for our actions, we will make our lives (and others around us) much better.

As the scriptures point out, the blessings will chase you down to overtake you.   It has for me.   And when hard times come, they become greater blessings.  Learn these truths, dear readersyou'll find out for yourself.  Think clearly and see... how can we both keep speaking like this consistently while others have fallen?   The fruits speak for themselves!
