The Great Silence

The Jedihood Message has already spoken of what was to come for many years now.  Regardless of recent events, all one has to do is look at what has already been given and simply apply it to today.

May start posting some older messages so they can be read again.  For this posting, here is the following message:

The Great Silence

August 22, 2018

We live in a world full of communicative tools. Before us lies a plethora of various topics of discussion, shared within posts, calls, e-mails, and chats. Its usage has dramatically increased in recent days. Today, we can quickly learn what everyone else is thinking, simply by participating in these interactive messaging services.

Although the chatter is boisterous and the banter is unceasing, there is a deafening silence that is growing by each passing day. It is a silence not based on opinionated ideology, mindless ranting, or accumulation of the latest hearsay. It is something far deeper and substantial.

It reminds me of the fog present within the minds of the Jedi Council prior and during the Clone Wars. During this time, there was plenty of interaction among senators and federations, including various entertainments, such as pod race gambling and bar drinking. Yet when a sincere message was given, such as that from Queen Amidala or Qui-Gon Jinn, they were quickly thwarted. People were quick to give thunderous applause to a growing empire, all the while blinded to the cancerous spreading of sinister darkness.

In the scriptures, it speaks of such a silence. In the book of Jeremiah, the Father says this to a complacent generation: “To whom shall I speak and give warning that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised and they cannot harken, the words unto them are a reproach; they have no delight in it.”

“They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly; saying ‘Peace, peace’ where there is no peace.”

“They refused to hearken and pulled away the shoulder,” it says in Zachariah, “and stopped their ears that they would not hear. Yes, they have made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law and words sent in his spirit.”

Today, amongst the endless chatter, there is an ever-growing silence. It is currently being fueled by vain pleasure, selfish stubbornness, and the mighty refusal of a sound sense. The vast baskets of seeds we have scattered have fallen upon shallow soil and stony ground. As spoken in Matthew 13, many have fallen among thorns which have sprung up and chocked them. There is a lack of deepness in the earth.

As in the days of the Clone Wars, and of the wicked generations in scripture, we have become a people that cannot produce our own kind… not only physically, yet spiritually.

Will we continue to applaud as did the senate? Steep ourselves in vain matters as the council?

“Who has ears to hear, let them hear.”
