The Pilgrim's Progress
Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan is a classic allegory/parable story that has been shared for hundreds of years. John Bunyan was a man of conviction who wrote this story while imprisoned for his Puritan preaching as a non-conformist. The book was widely read in the 17th and 18th centuries along with the Bible.
The story acts as a prime example in history of how parable, just as with Yahshua, can teach deeper meaning into spiritual concepts. Children of various ages can read the story while adults can still glean upon it according to their stage of maturity.
